Phoenix, Ariz. — GateWay Community College and the Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NACET) are excited to announce that Jeff Saville, vice president of NACET, has assumed the role of executive director at the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI) at GateWay in Phoenix, effective immediately.
With funding from the US Economic Development Agency, City of Phoenix, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arizona and Maricopa Community College District, CEI is the only comprehensive mixed-use, non-retail business incubator in the City of Phoenix. As such, it provides integrated services, space and support for entrepreneurs and emerging companies. Its targeted business services include technology development; entrepreneurial and managerial talent development; early stage capital sourcing; and education, training, coaching and business counseling.
The 18,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located in the heart of what’s known as Discovery Triangle, and is near Sky Harbor Airport and a Light Rail stop. “We are excited to have Jeff Saville as our new executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation,” said Susie Pulido, director of Institutional Advancement and Entrepreneurial Programs at GateWay Community College. “His in-depth experience in incubation management, coupled with his entrepreneurial background for many years, will allow Jeff and GateWay the opportunity to successfully grow the CEI.”
Saville received his bachelor of science in communications from Northern Arizona University. Saville is a serial entrepreneur who has started and sold multiple businesses. He and his wife currently own multiple businesses, including Flagstaff Chocolate Company and several travel related Websites. Saville has extensive experience in developing a Web presence, driving Web traffic and is a recognized expert in social media. He has completed his Incubator Manager Certification and has won several local awards including the 2002 Small Business Development Center Success Award. Saville is also a graduate of the Flagstaff Leadership Program.
